Thanks to misschu a.k.a. the queen of rice paper rolls, there’s no need to board a plane anymore, her little eclectic kitchen and restaurant has finally popped up in Melbourne’s CBD.
misschu (real name Nahji Chu), formally a Vietnamese refugee opened her Sydney café six years ago has since gained cult-like status for her delightfully perfect rice paper rolls, Peking duck pancakes and coconut crush drinks (with an optional dash of vodka post 5pm).
The hip cafe speedily dishes up a delish selection of Vietnamese food with a slight twist like sashimi tuna, and roast duck and banana rice paper rolls; English spinach and tofu, and scallop and prawn steamed dumplings; traditional pork Hanoi deep friend spring rolls; and warm vermicelli salads.
