Eatery gets the green thumb

Twig Café opens its doors

Perched on the outskirts of Surry Hills is an eatery that would make Mother Nature proud. Introducing the recently opened Twig Café.

Nestled on the street corner of Young and Cleveland, Twig is about earthly goodness paired with sustainable and locally sourced produce.

Proudly owned by Richard and wife Lorraine Francis, the cafe ethos reflects their down to earth nature and desire to create a truly heartfelt experience.

The seasonal menu invites you to get busy on the delightful (and hopefully immortal) “Egg in the Basket”, before demolishing the buttermilk pancakes with fresh berries and crisp pancetta.

Positioned directly behind Garden Life (garden design studio), Twig is amass with lush greenery and internationally sourced objects.

This week you’ll cheer as Twig launches their private dining space (positioned on the cafe’s rooftop). Those in search of a new intimate setting, amongst friends and minus the masses need only apply.

Twig is privileged to be part of the James Street Community Garden (situated in the lane way behind the cafe). Once that’s established, the Francis’s hope to incorporate, the herbs and leafy greens into the Twig menu.

Try life on the lusher side.
