An Old World Glamour Sexy Stay at QT Sydney

QT_Sydney_Members_LoungeYou know you’re not staying in no ordinary hotel …

When you’re greeted by a red head vixen, kitted out in black burlesque uniform – her working title: Director of Chaos.

When you enter the psychadelic lift and exit into a lobby replete with bespoke furniture, LED digital art and a wall of leather suitcases.

When you check into your designer boutique room and your attention strays to a DIY Espresso Martini tray.

Welcome to QT Sydney, a hotel which ups Sydney’s cool currency and design creds significantly. Melding both historic Gowings Building and the grand State Theatre, the premises has undergone an expansive restoration and renovation to morph into a 200-designer boutique hotel. This is where you want to hole up for a few nights in the heart of Sydney CBD, for warm and detail-oriented hospitality, old world glamour and a truly quirky staycation.

Design lovers will gravitate towards the 12 unique room styles, littered with rich palettes of reds, orange, yellow and whites. Eclectic items peak your curiosity; ceramic rabbits, fur throws, glass filled back-lit cabinets, plush furniture and USpa toiletries.

Don’t expect your typical minibar, this one boasts your own Nespresso machine, ginger bread men, candy and protein snacks. If the film selection and free WIFI doesn’t cut it, guests can always go old school and play cards, Pick up sticks or Jacks.

After exploring the city’s rich sight-seeing pickings and a respectable dose of retail therapy (Westfield Sydney, The Strand Arcade and all the thread trappings of Pitt and George Street are close by), QT Sydney’s SpaQ is where you’ll want to unwind. Gents, we recommend and age-old wet shave ‘The Don’ with The Barber, whilst for the ladies, The Plush Princess (Javanese body scrub and skin hydration, full body massage and Tamanu oil facial massage) will leave you feeling royally pampered.

Feeling peckish? One of the best vice or virtue breakfasts, power working lunch and dinner date restaurants on offer in the CBD is found here in the form of Gowings Bar & Grill.

Tip: As soon as you book you’ll have access to the QT Sydney Concierge iPhone app – it’ll hook you up with ways to make your stay bespoke and quintessentially Sydney.
