William St Laneway Festival

Paddington bares all

Marigold garlands, croquet and ping-pong tournaments in the street? Sounds more like Wonderland than the back streets of Paddington. Alice and Co would surely approve of the Eat Me/Drink Me/Wear Me options that this little enclave will present for one day only.

Leona Edmiston will celebrate her boutique’s 10th birthday with a garden party featuring an abundance of flavoured teas, games and scrumptious treats (plus you can win a spring frock), the Nudie Jeans gang are putting on an old school sausage sizzle and challenging passersby to a friendly game of table tennis and the Poepke crew are hosting a ‘Circus Extravanganza’.

Jac+Jack are transforming their shop front into a shrine to India by selling chappatis (leather sandals), beach towels, scarves and all manner of lovingly designed Indian paraphernalia with a spicy serving of hot chai, floral garlands and many blessings.

On top of all this, there will be art installations and special offers from the likes of Belinda, The Corner Shop, Cohen et Sabine, Neil Grigg and Tigerlily, and many more.

Bargains ahoy!
