Sabbia by Bertoni

Sydney’s first family of la cucina casalinga, Bertoni, has gone all beachy on us.

Purveyors of authentic, home-made Italian food and killer coffee, the latest addition to la famiglia is set to bring a little Italian charm and a lot of great food to Balmoral beach.

Named after iconic predecessor, Sandbar, ‘Sabbia’, means ‘sand’…and expect to get a little of it between your toes as you chow down on an extensive menu including a signature series of pizzas, panini and pasta, or something from the ‘beach food’ menu, including classic fish and chips and burgers.

Unlike the other Bertoni locations, there’s also a full menu for your post-morning-swim breakfast, and a gelato bar for…well, anytime’s a good time for cassata Siciliana gelato, when you’re this close to the water.
