New Hampton

For everyone who’s been a part of Sydney’s nightlife for a while – long enough to remember the times before newbies like The Village and The Roosevelt – you’ll be all too familiar with Hampton Court Hotel which has sat underneath the Coke sign for as long as anyone can remember. Well, time’s are a changin’, and it’s out with the old and in with the new courtesy of a makeover worthy of a reality TV show.

Aptly named New Hampton, the renovated space holds up to 450 party goers and includes two bar areas, a restaurant, nightclub, VIP room and a few pokies to boot.

Bringing a touch of The Rocks to the Cross, there’s a decent amount of rustic flare to the new fit out, with timber bars, exposed stone walls and concrete floors dominating the interior.

For the foodies among us, the food is fresh with crowd pleasers like pork belly, steak tartare, parmesan arancini, and crispy chicken wings.

With a decent wine and cocktail list to get the good times rolling, New Hampton is the kind of place you can start the night off at, or end it, or both.
