Nan Tien Temple Retreat

You’ve resolved to work hard, play hard, drink more water and be good to your body this year. Healthier ways of thinking should warrant a resolution too. Set off on a weekend retreat to clear and elevate the mind.

Nan Tien Temple near Wollongong runs regular meditation retreats regardless of your level of experience. Your stay is prescribed by philosophies such as vegetarian food and alcohol abstinence (it is a Buddhist temple after all) but the retreats are inclusive and non-discriminatory.

The golden rule of the weekend is Noble Silence and it’s surprisingly easy to keep your mouth closed. In fact the most unexpected part may be your unwillingness to start talking again at the end of the retreat.

It may be the only time this year no one is entitled to your opinion.
