From Paris with love

AB5I1922_NikkiToThe clink of champagne glasses, the bloom of fresh flowers, the rich aroma of French cooking. If you’ve ever daydreamed about living in Paris, we’re guessing these three things were a big part of the formula. They also happen to be what you’ll find this Wednesday night when the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour turns its fine dining restaurant Atelier into a Parisian salon. The first in a brand new series of themed “Sofitel Salon” dinners is all about “Paris Dreaming” – a three course meal, paired with Aix rose and a delightful conversation between three Australian authors who made Paris their muse. In this instance, Katrina Lawrence (Paris Dreaming), Sarah Turnbull (Almost French) and Jane De Teliga (Running Away) will share their stories on the fairytale (and the good and bad) of living in France. Journalist and author Caroline Baum will keep the conversation flowing, but with a three course French meal and French rosé, we think this will be a night of very good company.

The Sofitel Salon dinners will bring together artists, designers and authors to share their thoughts at Atelier, with just 60 tickets available for each event.

Lisa used to use Sydney as a base to drop off souvenirs before heading off on the next adventure but these days she’s got her feet almost on the ground, with a desire to try every high tea in Sydney, and a cute cavoodle puppy at home. Travel writer, photographer and Kitchen Aid freak, she loves to eat, bake and write.
