The ethical merits of your schoolyard rhyme might be a little dubious. But the only losers at Sydney’s favourite indie arts market are those who miss it.
The first thing you’ll notice this season is the change in scale. (Hot tip: Wear comfortable shoes.) Making the most of their roomy new Australian Technology Park digs, Finders Keepers have staged their own Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with everything from a vintage fashion emporium to a fairy floss station and parking space for the city’s tastiest food trucks.
But don’t think they’ve let this go to their heads. The 150-plus hand-picked designers include market debuts from Fizzy Lime Creative’s woven geometric wall hangings and Beste Ogan Design’s ceramic tablewares resembling leather. For the ultimate in home décor porn, don’t miss Son Valise’s upcycled vintage speakers. (See you in line.)
Bring cash, come hungry, and stay for the live indie tunes.
