Dreame Dazzle: The tool that cleared my bathroom shelf and finally gave me the hair I’ve spent years and $$$$ trying to achieve

There’s a particular kind of chaos that lives in my tiny replica 1920’s bathroom. The hairdryer, the straightener and the curling wand all friends, fight for space amongst the creams and ointments required to get me from home (sometimes homeless looking) Michelle to office-ready. Mornings consist of strict planning – do I go to the gym or wash my hair? But now with Dreame (pronounced Dreamy) Dazzle you can do both – and have space to move around without strangling yourself in a mess of cords.

It’s sleek yet has multiple functions to do everything you need with the engineering design equivalent to a high-end car. The pieces fit and click simply, the nozzle has a smooth twist converts the Dreame Dazzle from a hairdryer to a maximum impact styling partner.

At $299 (down from $499 for a limited time), the Dreame Dazzle is a 6-in-1 hair dryer and styling system that replaces your hairdryer, straightener, curling wand, diffuser, and round brush in a single handheld device. It comes loaded with six attachments: a styling nozzle, soft wind nozzle, diffuser, oval brush, and two curling barrels (one for each side of the head, I say this as it took me a moment to work it out).

But here’s where it gets genuinely smart: the Dazzle uses intelligent nozzle recognition (AI for your hair, yeah!) meaning it automatically detects which attachment you’ve clicked on and adjusts heat and airflow accordingly. It’s seamless.  Switch to the curling barrel and it goes into Curl Mode on its own, 10 seconds of warm air to shape, 5 seconds of cool air to set, and a 7-second pause so you can let go without losing the curl. It’s the kind of automation that makes you wonder why we’ve been doing it manually for so long.

I’m not a particularly great hair stylist, but I do love a styling tool. I now have excellent hair. Nothing has changed, except the tool. So even for a novice, not an influencer on a yacht, this is an excellent piece of beauty-tech.

I am not even exaggerating when I say that in 5 mins I went from potentially homeless looking – to a movie star, with a curl, volume and bounce I’d only seen in my hairdressers mirror“.

The motor runs at 110,000 RPM with an air speed of 65m/s, which in practical terms means shoulder-length hair dries in around two minutes. I have a Parlux that I’ve treasured for about 10 years. It’s suddenly been usurped by Dreame Dazzle – which is a much faster dry, a lighter tool – that takes some getting used to, and a healthier end result, with significantly less frizz. And that’s because the NTC thermistor checks temperature 300 times per second to keep heat steady and protect hair integrity, a genuinely meaningful spec for anyone who’s fried their ends with a dryer that runs hot. The built-in negative ion generator releases up to 300 million negative ions per cm³ to smooth the cuticle. Innovation, plus innovation = very good hair.

The curling wands are a life saver. Having used (well tried to) the GHD curling wand with mixed results, because I am not as ambidextrous as I would like, the two barrels genuinely pick up the hair, wrap around the nozzle and hold sections of hair in place until you release the curl, without any snagging. We’ve seen all the ads right, where the beautiful woman, in “I woke up like this make up” turns her Dyson, or GHD around and suddenly she’s got the hair around the nozzle and releases a bouncy curl. I am not even exaggerating when I say with the Dreame Dazzle that in about 5 mins I went from potentially homeless looking to a movie star, with a curl, volume and bounce I’d only seen in my hairdressers mirror.

The digital display shows real-time heat, airflow, and mode settings, and the 90° twist joint means you can angle the device without contorting your wrist. Three temperature settings, three airspeed modes, and the cool shot to complete the styling.

One tool, one cord, zero clutter and it actually, finally works (and I have thick, unruly hair), for price that is more than reasonable when compared to others in the market. The kind of decision I like to make: simple.

What we are Addicted to: It does what it says – there are lots of cool techy things about this Dreame Dazzle – but it’s a tool that does what it says it’s going to, with little intervention or skill required.

What do we need to be more Addicted to: Trusting that two minutes really is enough drying time. Old habits die hard, but use it and believe it. Use the additional time wisely (or stay in bed for longer or do another rep).

The Dreame Dazzle is available now for $299.
