Building blocks

A slice of the Venice Biennale Architecture

If you’re an ideas person, have an eye for design or just well constructed beauty, Object’s first architecture exhibition holds appeal.

For the admiring is more than 100 models built by emerging and established Australian architectural practices, created in response toThe Venice Architecture Biennaletheme ‘Out there: architecture beyond building’.

Stunning works such as a rudimentary shipping container home; a facade inspired by the filigree pattern of a month’s wing; a cultural glasshouse; and a re-imagined cubby house as a large urban conglomerate.

Some focus on craft, others on context, some are abstractions and others representational.  Some are imagined futures whilst most are recently completed projects.  All let you inhabit a world of miniature possibilities.
