For a sneak peek, the Love My Curls team has shared three hot tips for how to keep your summer curls frizz free:
1) Cold water Rinse
A nice hot summer is the one time of the year that a cold water rinse doesn’t bother you. Cold water rinse helps to improve and promote a natural hair shine, reduce frizz and closes your hair cuticles.
2) Say goodbye to Glycerin
Glycerin is heavy in humectants – in the right environment and climate it pulls moisture from the air to keep our curls moisturized throughout the day. In hot humid weather, it pulls too much into the hair, leaving the hair expanded and frizzy. During summer months try gels and milks without glycerin.
3) Sea Salt Spray
If you’re feeling like your curls look a little limp and need more definition, add a sea salt spray to your summer hair cocktail. Sea salt spray enhances natural waves, adds volume and texture to your curls. Great for big beach hair look!
