Mod-Oz meets Italian in Newtown
After more than twenty years experience each in pubs, cafes and fine dining, husband and wife duo Gavin and Andrea Kells wanted to do it their own way.
“Their” way consists of serving the best produce that they could possibly get their hands on from a new deli and cafe outfit in the heart of Newtown.
The establishment is relaxed but super polished. You’ll find a deli with 32 cheese varieties (French, Australian, Italian and Danish); 25 different charcuterie (think duck rillets, wild boar pate); olives and marinated vegetables.
If you’ve a little more time take up a couch and try the a la carte menu: eggs on hommus Turkish bread with parsley salad and smoked paprika, or chicken saltimbocca and sage, prosciutto, rocket and lemon.
And leave some room for the cakes made in-house daily. Today it’s flourless chocolate cake and hazelnut cheesecake with dates. Pairs perfectly with a mug of Danes organic coffee.
