Two Little Pigs Charcuterie & Grind

Question: What happens when two cousins Jonathan Ioannou and Terrence Farrugia have a love of both coffee and pork, and want to start a business? Do they open a café? A deli? A restaurant specialising in pork?

Answer: the opening of Two Little Pigs Charcuterie & Grind where they bring together both of their passions into one spot on Sydney Road in Brunswick. A café where Charcuterie is king? We can hear the locals cheering already.

White walls, hanging cured meats, garlic that would make vampires run for the hills, and little metal pigs in the garden make this spot almost too cute and cozy to bare. But clearly not, as we’re fans already. It’s cosy, yet fun, and a space you enjoy being in.

The menu sings with a wheat and grains section dishing up gourmet breads, a charcuterie menu of either a small or large charcuterie platter, jamon and hollandaise becoming a modern day Eggs Benni, bircher muesli, and bubble and squeak. For something a little sweeter, the hot jam doughcakes, yes a mix of two of earth’s greatest creations, are a must. Think dough filled with hot jam and served with caramelised bacon ice cream. Brilliant.

The coffee line up is impressive on its own with single-origin, filtered and pour-over coffee, as well as a signature Two Little Pigs house blend.

We can only assume the third little pig became part of a charcuterie board. Too soon? #sorryvegans
