Touche Hombre Electrica

Ah Mexican. Just when we thought Melbourne’s taco, burrito and tequila quota was close to overflowing, it turns out we just can’t get enough.

Touché Hombre Eléctrica has arrived in South Yarra, moving onto Claremont St in the old Claremont Tonic digs.

The new cantina is brought to us by Davis Yu, whose CBD eatery Touche Hombre is bursting at the seams.

Sister eateries in the burbs are this year’s hot topic, with Fonda Mexican spawning Fonda Windsor and Meatball & Wine Bar opening in Richmond.

Touché Hombre Eléctrica’s head chef Sean Judd has revved up the engines in the kitchen, with big bold flavours featuring on a fun, fuss free menu. If you’re a group, go ahead and order the “Large Posse Menu”, because it’s a great name and the $45 a head, jug of sangria and mixed dishes are friendly on the wallet.

Make sure you save room for desserts – these guys know Mexicans love their sweets. Bocadillo De Helado is a salted caramel icecream sandwich. Need we say more? Oh yes, there’s an 80 strong tequila collection to choose from and mixologists ready to get the party started.
