Tongue and Cheek at The Oxford Tavern

Does The Oxford Tavern sound familiar? No? What about the pub on the corner in Petersham with neon signs of dancing girls on the door? Seen it? We thought so.

Well this ladies lounge has undergone a makeover and yes, the waiters definitely have ample clothes as part of their uniforms.

A night at The Oxford Tavern might not be too wild, but the team are sticking to the theme of the wild wild Inner West. Now, it’s all about the meat you can eat instead of ogle – Hickory burgers, steaks, schnitzels, sausages and sauerkraut are on the menu.

There are a few salad options but they’re not for the faint hearted; a Crystal Street Salad comes with slaw, queso cheese, jalapeños and mex grilled Chicken.

And of course, the piece de resistance, is The Jelly Wrestle, a jelly ice cream sundae sure to raise a few eyebrows.
