The Everleigh on Gertrude

Prime cocktail bars are really too few and far between, so with upmost gratification bow, take your hat off and welcome a darn-fine dapper of a new venue on Gertrude Street – the Everleigh.

The folk behind this bar know their stuff, from meticulous cocktail production to hand-cut ice, it’s nothing but craftsmanship at its finest. It’s no surprise really with Milk & Honey (from Manhattan’s Lower East Side) prodigy being the key instigators.

While the entry policy is more lax to its international counterparts (where membership and reservations are pre-requisite), The Everleigh shares the same level of demure intimacy. The air of elite vintage is derived from plush leather furniture, hidden booths, mirrored tables and serene warmth from flickering candlelight.

Take your pick from the list, or implore your trust in the hands of the super knowledgeable (and suitably dashing) barmen, who will craft a cocktail just to your liking.

The most plausible rendition of a fanciful cocktail lounge from yesteryear, The Everleigh sits unpretentiously at the pointy end of the swanky stakes, an absolute must-try for the most discerning.
