Rainford Street Social

Guess who? Once occupied by Bird Cow Fish, this revamped Crown Street stomping ground now in the hands of TOKO group, is pleasing Surry Hills’ locals with its casual bistro vibe and hearty fare.

Need more hints? Its ‘All-American Banana Cream Pie’ is the talk of the town (and rightly so!) while its triple-barrel name sounds not too dissimilar to an all-American clothing label. It’s none other than Rainford Street Social, of course.

Headed up by a new Chef, Benjamin Orpwood (ex Zuma, London & TOKO Executive Chef), Rainford Street Social offers you a well-rounded menu loaded with crowd pleasers like BBQ pork throwdowns, spiced calamari, traditional fish pie and steak and chips. For the more adventurous, there’s spiced eggplant with yoghurt on toast, and barley miso tofu steak!

When it comes to the booze, you’ll find a punchy cocktail selection – say hello to a jug of White Sangria – and an overachieving wine list boasting drops from Oz and around the globe.
Go for a neighbourhood bistro vibe with friendly service and food that’ll have you coming back for more.
