Plane and Simple

New City store opens
If your idea of bad taste is an obviously designer logo outfit screaming its origins, Plane is a store you need to get to know. Founder Tristan wanted to create a retail experience “with a deliberate aversion to branding and overstated design. Plane is all about good plain clothes”.

Stocking labels like Malmo, Alternative Apparel, 2 blocks south, Sosume, Huffer, Brent Wilson, Melissa, Volley, Converse and Raben, both the original Chapel St Windsor store and the new City store in Manchester lane offer a great variety of price points, styles and brands that are well…. plain and simple.

Situated next to Claude Maus, Design a space and Sure, Manchester Lane is fast becoming a hub for alternative designer fashion down a gritty and seemingly undiscovered spot near Flinders Lane. This Plane store is (as you would expect) a clean, simple, white space with the emphasis on showcasing the product. It’s refreshingly devoid of the usual tricks and displays that fight for attention.

So pop in and check it out (just leave your logo’s at home!)
