Papi Chulo brings some heat to Manly

It had to happen sometime. Merivale has conquered the city, Chinese food, Mexican, fine dining, and just about everything in between. Now they’re moving onto Manly and the culinary world of BBQ meats.

Papi Chulo is the brand new Merivale venue right on Manly Wharf. Hop off the ferry and head to a table, but remember to bring your appetite.

Dan Hong is heading up the team as Executive Chef, supported by Patrick Friesen from Ms G’s and Christopher Hogarth from El Loco.

What do you get when you combine three chefs who work with big, bold flavours? A menu that wows. Slow-smoked meats bring a bit of American Deep South to the table and a Brazilian charcoal rotisserie takes care of the rest.

Don’t fret, it’s not all meat, meat, meat. There’s a burger, pork ribs… (ok there’s a lot of meat) but also seafood and salads. And to top it all off, the stellar Manly harbour view.
