If you’ve witnessed Pacha in Ibiza you’ll know it’s more than just uber DJ’s spinning the crowd into a frenzy. Think more a theatrical fusion of dancers, beats and glamour. No surprise then that ivy is the Sydney stage for a dazzling combo of circus and entertainment.
The lights dim, the tunes fade out and confetti reigns down as a chorus of angels start singing. Two enormous silk ribbons are raised in the sky as a lone aerialist step climbs up above the crowd. Over the course of the evening street performers, psychedelic light shows and acrobatic feats create a visual playground. Wanna be a VIP? Too easy! Hire a private balcony for the best seats in the house.
Just when you think it’s safe to go back on the dance floor, a suspended art installation by design genius Glue Society’s James Drive called ‘A Little Faster Please” starts to illuminate. Pedal power by a lone cyclist creates a visual light bulb display spelling out the words Heineken.
Those who love clubbing will go crazy for a stunning evening, those who don’t, will walk away wondering why they ever stopped.
