N2 Extreme Gelato Melbourne

Gelato is a wonderful thing. If tasty enough it can and should be enjoyed all year round (no arguments there).

N2 Extreme Gelato’s smooth treats are not only tasty but are making some pretty intriguing tracks in the creativity department. Starting in Sydney, N2 now on Brunswick Street serves up made to order, ice cold gelato in two minutes. But how? Liquid Nitrogen. Colour us intrigued.

The team led by owners Min Chai and Angee Yeoh is a gathering of ex-accountants, chemical engineers and lawyers. They see their collection of different skills and strengths as enabling them to create an experience like no other.

When you go to N2 Extreme Gelato, order flavours like sour cream chocolate, black salted caramel or even deconstructed apple pie with croissant bites and watch as it goes into the mixer, is poured with liquid nitrogen and is then served before you. The staff wear protective gear, we promise.

Friendly staff can also guide you through the matrix of eight rotating flavours.  A word of warning, don’t ask for it fat free. It doesn’t exist here. This gelato is an indulgence and they’re proud of that.

The space is lighthearted and fun, just like the product.  Think street art, communal tables, faux grass and a bed. Yep, you can enjoy your freeze-dried treats on a bed. Wonderful.
