LuxBite patisserie cafe

Luxe dessert designers

We all deserve a little luxe in our life and when it comes to pretty delectable bites, there’s no exception.

LuxBite is the most welcome addition to South Yarra, a sweet petite pâtisserie café that’s truly mastered the art of all things sweet (macarons are their specialty, and Adriano Zumbo votes theirs one of the best in the city).

The brainchild of Bernard Chu and Yen Yee (ex – Summit Restaurant, Quay, Pier, Rockpool Bar & Grill, Giuseppe Arnaldo & Sons and Comme Kitchen), the duo took inspiration from luxury pâtisseries in Europe and Japan (Pierre Hermé, Ladurée and Henri Charpentier) before turning their own sweet dream, into a reality.

Not your average bakery by any stretch, uh-uh everything at LuxBite is handmade with endless deliberation, meticulous care, and oh such precision.

There’s 16 macaron flavours to choose from the enticing rose and lychee; watermelon and yoghurt; to the more adventurous; peanut butter and jelly; ‘kaya toast’. Plus they’ll go all out for special occasions and create things like the Vegemite (yes you read right) and Freckle macaron for Australia Day.

With a lovely light lunch, more lustrous desserts and a delightful tea set for 2, this is definitely one dessert dream you don’t want to wake from.
