Easter Travel Escapes
Kadi Carry-On Leisure suitcase

Whether you’re planning a quick weekend getaway or a jet-setting adventure, the Kadi Carry-On Leisure is a game-changer for stylish travelers and it’s Aussie owned. As ‘July’ luggage fan it’s really surprised me. So what am I Addicted to? My ‘Olive’ is really pretty, and very slimline. It has a premium German polycarbonate shell. Say goodbye to packing dilemmas. I really like the suitcase’s thoughtfully designed interior features such as expandable compartments on both sides, frosted PVC pockets, perfect for thongs, cables, undies and a laundry bag that keeps my wardrobe organized. It has 360-degree silent wheels (yes, really) and multi-stop telescopic handle. It has TSA-approved locks, waterproof zippers, along with an expandable waist. Plus, the lifetime warranty (yes, lifetime!) means you can jet off without a care in the world. Oh! and you can choose your colours too. If you prefer soft shell they have that too. We can’t wait to check out more of their range Kadi RRP $325

This Easter we’re taking breakfast up a notch – let’s be honest, up a lot of notches – with the extra special nifty new waffle iron from Duraprès. The recipes are an excellent base to let your imagination run wild. Case in point – our Easter Sunday menu includes cake batter waffles stuffed with chocolate eggs. Because we’re all in this Easter! Pop a Prawn on the Barbie – Tassal Tassie Prawns

Celebrate the ocean’s finest on Tassal’s National Prawn Day, a tribute to Australia’s beloved Tiger Prawns. After chomping through a box we love their vibrant color, sweet flavor, and firm texture. What ever you do, don’t get defrosted ones, they just don’t cut it. This year, Tassal has teamed up with Chef Guy Turland to create a show-stopping special: the Tassal Australian Tiger Prawn Sandwich with Prawn Head Chilli Oil. We gave it a spin at home – its has a spicy kick, making it a must-try for seafood lovers. Whether you’re at the Sydney Fish Markets or enjoying it at home give it a whirl. Recipe here.

Humpty Doo Barramundi

Fish & Easter are non negotiables. You just need to look at the queues at the Fish Market’s to understand how much we celebrate with seafood. One of Australia’s most loved fish is the barra. Now, you can argue whether you think Cone Bay from WA or Humpty Doo in the Northern Territory wins the title best of the barras. We have spent time reviewing up there recently so are biased but being sustainably grown we do love Humpty Doo. we had fun cooking up recipes provided by Humpty Doo. Jump onto their site for Easter cooking inspiration. Our pick is the Barramundi curry with coconut sambal. You can get your barra from all major supermarkets.
Pyrex – Bake, Lock & Store – Pyrex® Lock N Store (640mL / 1.05L / 1.52L)

I grew up with Pyrex, but my kitchen is now has more plastic containers than glassware, which is a worry with forever chemicals. So the move back to nostalgia is not only good for the heart, but the body. The new lock n’ store range is made from borosilicate glass, each container transitions from baking to freezing and reheating. Its operated well in my airfryer and the freezer. The airtight, locking lid is easy to get on and off with four tabs. I did find the largest size is still a bit small for group leftovers. However I really like the 2.5L Pyrex Bake N Store which is perfect for batch cooking. Lock N Store RRP $15/$19/24 Available at BIG W.

Poets Larger – Country Larger & Poets

Owned by the Australian Beer Co. Brewed in the heart of the Riverina with high quality Australian ingredients there is a lot to like. The lineup includes Country Lager (4.2%), which I found to be easy drinking with a mid-flavored palate. The other option is Country Crisp Mid Strength Beer (3.5%), which is a pale coloured, light flavoured option with a dry, clean finish. Both are sold in cans with their signature bold red and cream colours. RRP 6pk cans $16, 30pk case $58. Available at Cellarbrations, Bottle-O, IGA Liquor, and Porters.
