Churros for everyone!

San Churro_Get the Friendlier Option (GTFO)

Are you low gluten living? Vegan? Lactose intolerant? Whether you’re any of the above, run, don’t walk to San Churro.

The good news is no longer do you need to have the will power of a Ninja or miss out on one of life’s simple pleasures to keep your gluten count low. San Churro has launched a new gluten friendly range of churros – that’s right, there are now low gluten churros! The almost-gluten free, and hence almost guilt free churros (hey, we’re trying to be realistic here) are available for kids, or in Churros for One or Two platters. The new menu items join a pretty decadent array of dishes designed to satisfy the most serious of sweet teeth.

Alongside the gluten friendly churros, which have less than 200ppm of gluten, San Churro recently extended its vegan offering so much of the menu is now vegan friendly. Our pick is The Happy Vegan – a bowl made out of churros (yes, it exists) filled to the brim with a vegan salted caramel ice cream that tastes too good to be truly good for you, oodles of dark chocolate, smashed Oreos and a few strawberries for good measure.

It’s been a while since we’ve been in store, but we were lucky enough to pop in to San Churro on Glebe Point Road to check out the new menu, and listen up because this ain’t no one stop churros shop. This is like the Willy Wonka chocolate factory – a Willy Wonka with a serious liking for churros. The Happy Vegan is just one of the items on a pretty OTT menu. Try ‘toasted fluff’ charred marshmallow hot chocolates, or cookie dough stuffed churros. There are jumbo cookies and cream shakes, ‘snack packs’ with churros, choc chip cookie dough and lashings of chocolate. The list goes on and on!

Hungry? We bet you are!
