Sweet intervention

In some circles you’re affectionately known as ‘The Foodie’. In others, you’re ‘Miss Prim’. Whatever your good name, keep your rep current with a sitting at the upcoming Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio Afternoon Teas.

This elegant affair held at The Langham sees a new collaboration round with dessert chef and maestro of all things superbly sweet, Darren Purchese of Burch & Purchese.

As you get acquainted with the ARIA bar’s sophisticated surrounds, a three-tiered stand will arrive, tempting you to start with The Langham’s savouries; ribbon sandwiches (Smoked salmon pin wheel, free range chicken, cucumber and cress, egg & mayonnaise, cream cheese & chive) and fluffy scones.

No need to ask “May I?”, you’re expected to progress to the next tier. Decadent mouthfuls including Black forest éclair, Passionfruit Meringue Clouds and Popcorn & honeycomb rubble. Tubes of magical combinations of coconut, ginger, passionfruit and mint.

You can take a little curtsy, Mr Purchese, a bow.
