Calling all Porteño lovers. This is a public service announcement of upmost importance!
This Friday night from 5pm, Carriageworks will be turned over to all things hot and steamy with the first Burning Love Night Market.
Sydney’s culinary cool kids Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz, aka the genius behind Porteño, have brought together their favourite restaurants, bars and producers for a night to remember. More than 55 stalls will be set up at Carriageworks for hungry and thirsty foodies to explore – with dishes ranging between $8-20.
As the name suggests, there will be plenty of heat, but the evening is not about a flash in the pan, quite the opposite. Dishes will showcase what chefs define as their ‘burning love’ for food. For the Porteño guys, that’s definitely fire, but expect to see plenty of variety with the likes of Kylie Kwong, Darren Robertson and Michael Rantissi bringing dishes to the table.

You’ll need a $10 ticket to get in the door, and from there you can buy dishes like eight hour wood fired crucified lamb (Porteño), charcoal baked spuds with Swiss fondu (Mike McEnearney of No.1 Bent Street) and hot damper slathered in rosemary Pepe Saya butter.
The Carriageworks night markets have been known to sell out, so get your tickets now!
