The Old Bard takes it to Your Cinema

It’s like London, without the passport and the pigeons. Warmer, cleaner … but with just as much culture.

That’s what happens when Shakespeare’s Globe buddies up with Arts Alliance Media to release three of its world-class theatrical productions to cinemas near you. It’s rolling out in the USA, New Zealand and other parts of the UK but all you really need to know is that it’s coming to Australia too.

It’s the Shakespeare you have when you don’t want to drive too far. All’s Well That Ends Well, Much Ado About Nothing, and Doctor Faustus – all filmed in glorious High Definition and complete with the choc-top and popcorn experience (or Jaffas, if you prefer).

The spring offering kick off with All’s Well That Ends Well on September 26 and Much Ado About Nothing is hot on its heels from October 10.

What light through yonder breaks…? Indeed! “Tis the gorgeous glimpse into a brilliant cast of players, in the comfort of your local movie house.

Originally staged at Shakespeare’s Globe in 2011, the three productions will be shown in their entirety on screens in hundreds of local cinemas.
