Fashion finds helping the less fortunate
Contrary to the entity known as ‘We Don’t Care Inc’ (WDC), this group of under 24’s care a darn lot, probably more so than the rest of us put together (ashamedly).
But on 24 September you can do your bit, by snapping up pre-loved labels at their first event ‘The Fashion Fund’, all for a cause.
What’s more, any splashing out will be for a higher good, as monies raised on the day will go to helping local homeless shelters in Victoria that provide care and services.
WDC is volunteer-run, basically these guys aim to encourage people like themselves get involved in social justice initiatives by contributing time, advocacy and money.
So if labels like Marc Jacobs, Claude Maus, Topman, Country Road, Prada, Hugo Boss, Hermes, Ksubi get you just a little bit excited, you’ll be in your element. Top-notch fashion pieces from these labels and more have been kindly donated for you perusal.
If shopping’s not your thing, the Federation Square main stage will play host to DJs, and get the tissues ready, an emotive exhibition ‘I Have A Name’, a series of candid films that share the stories of real people and their experiences with homelessness.
Soak up your Saturday, score some fabulous fashion finds and do your bit to help WDC help others.
