Spend your time on the train trying not to start guffawing too loudly at the latest Insta story of your fav 30-something-office-worker-turned-social-media-comedian? Got the giggles over a podcast? Find your Netflix profile filled with comedy tours?
If you said yes to any or all of the above, you had better be gearing up for the Sydney Comedy Festival, which kicks off April 23rd. Don’t hold back those belly laughs, because there’ll be more than 200 different shows in venues all over the city. We’re not just talking about late night bars and theatres.
This year we’re pretty excited about the Travelodge Comedy Club – every Monday night of the festival a special pop-up Comedy Club will take over a special spot in Central’s Travelodge hotel. Get ready for 60 mins of roll on the floor, hold onto your sides, ache in your face entertainment from some of the best acts in the festival. A mix of local and international acts will take to the stage inside the hotel’s pop up comedy club – you won’t recognise the gym – for a lucky dip night guaranteed to have you crying with laughter. That’s how we’d like to end every Monday night!
The best news is tickets are only $20, so get in quick.
