Urban Foods is not your average meat market. Sure, there are loads of attractive people and yes, occasionally there is drinking but the raison d’etre? It’s more about picking up a meat cleaver than picking up a future spouse.
Over the next few weeks, Tim Elwin and his crew will be running master classes on everything from bacon curing to stock making.
What’s better is that it’s meat with mates – everyone who books in for a cooking class can bring a friend for free.
If the raw end of meat appreciation is not your thing, there are other options where you can just rock up and enjoy. The first of these is a Modern Lebanese degustation ‘Meatup’ (trademark) and the second involves a little bit of effort in the form of voting. Yes, at The People’s Meatup the punters get to decide on the menu. They vote on the favourite dish for each of the eight courses and at the end of the voting, the menu is decided by a landslide victory.
