Olafur Eliasson contemporary art event of the year
Considered one of most influential contemporary artists of our time you can expect nothing short of breath-taking from Danish-Icelandic artist, Olafur Eliasson. Think walk-in kaleidoscopes and light filled environments that invite you in, envelop you at a slow pace before spitting you (most politely) back out again.
Exploring boundaries between the organic and artificial and the intersection of nature and science Eliasson creates alluring environments that challenge your sense of space.
Take your Time: Olafur Eliasson will feature works by the artist from 1993 to the present with photographs, installations, large-scale environments and sculpture on display.
Organised by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and curated by Madeleine Grynsztejn, Pritzker Director, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the MCA is calling this one of their most anticipated exhibitions ever staged at the Museum.
As a Daily Addict reader exclusive, for the price of standard exhibition entry we are giving thirty people the chance to view the exhibition and join MCA senior curator Rachel Kent on an intimate Olafur Eliasson talk on Saturday 30 January, 1.00 – 1.30pm.
Be one of the first 30 to make your reservation here (those successful will receive a confirmation letter)
We’ve received an overwhelming response, this invitation is now closed – Ed.
Take a leisurely pace at the exhibition, but certainly don’t dawdle to book for the talk.
