Interesting South

An event for curious types
Typical social scenario; after a speech or post performance, someone inevitably asks “What did you think?”

Standard polite response: “It was, uh … interesting”. Truth be told, you’re aching to cry out “What the #@*!?”, or fast calculating the cons of espousing what’s really on your mind.

The folks behind Interesting South aren’t taking any chances. They’ve amassed a selection of curiosity-generating speakers from all walks of life to speak for 3 – 8 minutes about something they really care about.

Professor Basil Donovan reveals his on-trend prediction that ‘Oral sex is the new black’, whilst Remo Giuffré (General Thinking  / REMO General Store) talks about the alchemy of cool, learnt from observing a school kid named Bob D’Angelo.

You can hear about Bondi to Beirut, a peace ride lead by British Nobel Peace Prize nominee Detta Regan, to bicycle from Lebanon to Syria, Jordan and Palestine/Israel, and how Cale Bain is prescribing improv to save the world.

Patrick Hofmann (Google) illustrates how icons and images impact millions, and Marilyn Flax speaks on procrastination along with the many reasons one can conjure for this useless (though we believe, at times appropriate) behaviour.
