From the land of Pedro Almoldovar and Penelope Cruz comes a line up of award winning films served hot with food, drink, live music from the OJ Project and a ‘Best of’ Watussi CD.
Special guest actor Javier Cámara will be on deck at the opening night gala to discuss the Australian premiere of his latest comedy work, Chef’s Special, and will pop up at Q & A screenings throughout the program.
There is a distinctly salsa flavour to the screen this year, with musical films like Septembers, Old Man Bebo, Fados and La Mala dancing their way through audiences.
A Tribute to Luis Buñuel will see the largest retrospective of his work ever shown in Australia. For those not familiar with his work, he is considered to be one of the most important directors in history.
Good for gringos and amigos. Good for people wanting to brush up on their Espanol.
