If these are qualities possessed and admired of your car (or that of your dream model), mark a date for your diary. For the first time, Concours D’Elegance, an assemblage of amazing and exotic automobiles and motorcycles both old and new, is being held in Sydney. 

“Competition of Elegance” derives from an art form dating back to the 17th Century. Next week you can expect some of the best Australian rare and classic cars in one place, with the top vying for trophy status and the title of “Best of Show” against other prestige marques.

There’ll be collections, auctions, manufacturers, classic car club and luxury exhibits. A restoration marquee where you can meet car owners and admire the hours that have been spent by collectors repairing, restoring and preparing their cars.

And for the ladies there’ll be a Charlie Brown Fashion Parade and a zone to swap parts for pampering; the Ladies Marquee comes replete with champagne, manicures and hair salon. Elegant indeed.
