There are certain events coming up that need to be diarised. You’ll have to help yourself on personal anniversaries and birthdays, but here’s three to lock in your calendar; Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 13 March, Mother’s Day falls on 11 May, and Sex and the City the movie, is out in cinemas on 5 June.
For the gents, the latter is probably a night to organise something with the guys. For SATC fans you can stop with the third set of re-runs and pining over lost evenings filled with chocolate and Carrie Bradshaw narrations. SJP, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are back as the iconic fashionable foursome, along with the notorious Mr. Big played by Chris Noth.
You can expect wedding and baby news, hot updated wardrobes masterfully compiled by Patricia Field, as well as the usual dramas in the pursuit of labels and love in the city that never sleeps. If you just can’t wait, have a sneak peek at the trailer.
For a viewing of the ladies from Manhattan of an extra-special kind, gather the girls and watch an opening night charity screening in support of ASPECT at Hoyts Broadway Cinema. There’ll be an hour of drinks and canapés, prizes for the most fashionably astute and lucky door giveaways including Revlon and Ella Bache gift bags.
You’ll hear from special guest presenters including relationship consultant Samantha Jayne and image designer Vivienne Cable giving tips on what to wear. To raise as much money as possible a charity auction will also be held – make your bid for a wardrobe detox consultation, Lee Lucas’s boxer shorts or a night of transfers with your own City Club Hopper 20-seater bus.
Aspect Charity Screening, 5 June, 6-10pm, Hoyts Broadway Cinema, Cnr Greek and Bay Streets, Broadway 2007.
