Pilates, like yoga is becoming a very important part of active people’s lives. Whether you use it for recovery, or to train that booty of yours, or even just to stay active in a non-intensive way, Pilates is there for you.

If you’ve ever been to a Pilates class and had no idea what you were doing, feeling lost among the 30 other Lycra clad babes in the room, then Premium Performance’s new pop-up studio in Windsor is for you. Steph Prem – Winter Olympian, Professional Snowboarder, Personal Trainer, and Pilates Instructor is the pocket sized powerhouse behind this one. The studio, above a clothing shop in Melbourne’s inner south, is small, which means Steph can and does get around to each and every student again and again, taking into account injuries, tastes, dislikes, and form. Steph has been holding classes around Melbourne in parks and beaches for two years as well as a retreat on the Mornington Peninsula. But now she has somewhere to call home.

The studio is decked out with quotes, framed pictures, and all the equipment you’ll need giving it a personal feel, just like the classes themselves.

The studio runs personal training, clinical Pilates, mat Pilates, Pilates bootcamp, corporate fitness and Pilates, functional fitness, TRX training, Barre workouts, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), stretch and recovery classes, as well as mum and bub classes. Cute.

The classes are accessible and welcoming. Which is a nice change to what can sometimes be a daunting industry.
