Lovers of North Bondi’s Porch and Parlour don’t know whether to laugh or cry with the relocation of their once hidden local’s hang known for its ‘no room to swing a cat’ fit out and rusty bed mattress wall art.

The mattress is gone, the fit out is marginally bigger (by a cat’s whisker) and the address has changed – head down the hill and find them perched on the corner of Campbell Pde and Ramsgate Ave where North Bondi Sandpit once lived.

More than an address change and name shakeup – Porch Bread & Wine Parlour is taking a lead from its big sis The Hill and is now serving brekkie, lunch AND dinner. And as the name suggests, wine glorious wine. Not to mention baking all of their own organic bread and pastry (did someone say chicken and tarragon pie?) which you can buy on the fly or sit-in.

Loyalists rest assured; the big brekkie and smashed eggs remain. But if you’re looking to branch out, go at dusk, when it’s all about sharing boards and a short punchy wine list with drops from Mudgee including a notable house rose.
