Planar pasta masterclass at Darling Harbour

There are two types of people in the world; those who think ‘fashion’, when Italy in mentioned (Valentino, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana) and the rest of us who think food!  Whilst the restaurant precinct around Darling Harbour’s ICC is far from the Fontana di Trevi, Italian restaurant Planar Restaurant is willing to share its trade secrets with new cooking classes. Think of the delight that will erupt at your next dinner party when you serve your own homemade pasta!

Starting from scratch, flour and eggs

Italian chefs run regular events and guide you through a 101 class on technique with tips and tricks that you need to know. You’ll learn that fashion and pasta do collide when the times comes to thread your handmade dough into the pasta roller, one classmate remarking, “Oh, now I’ve got the hang of it, it’s just like squeezing into your skinny jeans in winter!”

Italian Chef Andreas

Not only will you leave knowing how to craft pasta favourites such as fettuccine, gnocchi and ravioli but following the class you’ll get to dine on Planar’s delicious signature pasta’s, pizza’s and salads. You’ll be sent home nicely stuffed and equipped to wow your next dinner guests with a satisfied “I made this from scratch” moment.
