The Black Widow strikes fear into many; for non-spidey likers she’s an arachnophobe with a deadly bite, to Iron Man she’s your Russian nemesis, but for burger lovers she’s the latest killer creation from Sean Connolly.
Sean is upping his street cred entering the hall of fame of chefs-gone-burger-crazy, which now includes Warren Turnball (CHUR Burger), Justin North (Burger Shed) and Daniel Wilson (Huxtaburger). With the clever folks at The Morrison he’s cracked the formula, relaunching The Parlour as Parlour Burger and tempting all George Street pedestrians to ‘eat my buns’.
Ten bucks will see you served up a mighty fine burger – just name your protein. The quinoa chicken burger is one of his best, silky white chicken breast with a crunchy coating Colonel Sanders would be jealous of. Fishy creations of beer battered Black Fish with tartare sauce is perfectly matched with duck fat chips. Follow that with deep fried pickles and it’s a cardiologist delight!
But the hero of them all is the stunning Black Widow; your brain tells you black is danger, but your taste buds will be in heaven getting hits of hot sauce, seasoned ground beef, lettuce and tomato topped off with a vegetable charcoal black brioche bun.
The Black Widow at Parlour Burger ladies and gentlemen. Time to face your fears.
