A place that combines fabulous art and coffee? Actually they’re two words that should definitely be seen more often together. When does one get the chance to leisurely wander through an oh-so chic gallery, view the works, all whilst sipping a latte and savouring sweet treats? Not enough.
Located in South Yarra, Mossgreen is just a picture perfect contemporary space spread over three spacious levels that showcases both emerging and established artists.
Perhaps an art connoisseur of sorts? Well you’re most likely already acquainted with the gallery, the first to meld collections, auctions and a commercial gallery in one space and feature artists like John Olsen, Charles Blackman, Avital Sheffer and current exhibitor Kate Bergin (exhibition – ‘Wild Things’).
Now ‘culinary touch’ can be hung amongst its line up, announcing Mossgreen Café. With its floor to ceiling windows and divine little sun-drenched courtyard, what better place to enjoy that spot of brunch or devour a Saturday afternoon after admiring the works?
Zoran (ex-Café Gaia) is at the café helm and will be dishing up a seasonally changing menu including toasted quesadillas, aromatic salads, sandwiches and baguettes (Baker D Chirico breads) and sweet bites all complemented by Lavazza coffee, San Pellegrino or perhaps Laurent Perrier bubbles or Yering Station Wines.
So be it experienced art enthusiast or more of a novice, know-how aside, all can revel in the new Mossgreen Café and meld the more finer combinations in this life.
