If you’ve ever been to a house party, you’ll know the phrase “We’re just going on a liquor run.” But those liquor runs are all dependent on someone being under .05, there being a bottle shop close by, that particular bottle shop being open, and, well, the list goes on. That’s where LIQUORUN, a new phone app comes in.
An on-demand alcohol delivery service, LIQUORUN has a fleet of ‘liquor runners’ who are on call to deliver within a 5km radius of one of their partnered bottle shops. This will start this month in Windsor with the Railway Hotel, the 24 hour bottle shop (and follow with a bunch of other bottle shops on the list of potential suppliers).
Joel Macdonald, Rohan Bail and James Strauss, the founders of LIQUORUN were on their way back from an interstate sports match, planning a house party where booze was a necessity. This is when Liquorun was born.
With a small delivery radius from each bottle shop, LIQUORUN has a quick 60 minute turn around. They can also deliver anything the bottle shop has in stock. Macdonald tells us that Grey Goose, Dom Perignon, cigars, condoms and beef jerky are all must haves on the menu.
If Macdonald has anything to say on the future of delivery services, we’ll be able to get booze delivered on a Saturday, McDonalds delivered on a Sunday morning, and flowers to make up for a weekend of shenanigans delivered on a Monday.
No more ‘bags not’ to liquorun duties.
