Italian christening for Itali.co

ItalicoDrama, flair and over-the-top abundance? Sounds a little Italian.

Itali.co is no exception. He’s the youngest sibling in the Nicolino family of restaurants that includes Itali.co at Sorrento and Non Solo Pasta at Docklands. This pretty new baby has share plates, fresh homemade pastas, quality pizzas and a range of substantial mains dreamt up by Remo Nicolini, co-owner Lino Maglione and head chef Piero Roldo.

Like all youngest children, the latest Itali.co wants to do things a little bit differently. That’s why you’ll find unusual ingredients like Berkshire sausage, white truffle cream, or Friarielli (Neapolitan broccoli) on the pizzas.

And again, in typical spoilt brat style, the pizza oven is the best in the world. It’s a Marana. This won’t mean much to most people but to pizzaphiles, it’s like the Ferrari of ovens.

With stylish interiors conceived by Kerry Phelan Design Office, the restaurant features old school black-and-white tesselated tiles and a glass cabinet full of hanging salamis and cheeses to get you salivating.

It’s time to call a family meeting and get down to Itali.co for a true Italian experience.
