This weekend Domaine Chandon are inviting you to an adults only garden party in the grounds of their sprawling Coldstream estate. Enter through the secret door and sip, swill and stroll your way through vintage furniture, pink flamingos, hanging chairs, helium balloons and a giant size chess set. Think Alice in Wonderland, except the bottle labeled ‘drink me’ contains only the finest Chandon vintages. 

As for the food, it might even make your fanciest picnic snacks seem Jatz-level standard. Head chef David Carafella has devised a quirky canapé menu playing off the secret garden theme, with four dishes (three savoury and one sweet) perfectly matched to your four Chandon tastings.

If you were the girl who liked to eat flowers and dirt in the garden, the flower garden with custard, raspberry gel, Oreo biscuits, praline and edible flowers lets you re-live your childhood without sacrificing your poise.

Being adult-sized doesn’t mean missing out on all the fun.
