Forget everything you learned in childhood. Disney isn’t all about fairy princesses and waiting for that man to save you (or the world).

There’s another way. Despite the famous surname, Abigail E. Disney is doing it for herself and during her first visit to Australia, the influential US humanitarian, social activist film-maker and member of the innovative philanthropic venture, Women Moving Millions, aims to inspire us to do the same.

She’s a guest of the Australian Women’s Donor Network. Haven’t heard of them?  They’re all about connections – linking up the generous movers and shakers within the local philanthropic community with projects that invest in women and girls.
