In Australia, you can be sure of two things when it comes to summer fashion: there will be lots of colour and plenty of styles that show off your sunkissed tan. Kookai’s new Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which took to a sun lounge splashed runway last week didn’t disappoint. But it also surprised with elegant tailored playsuits, cut out designs and chic monochrome pieces.
The fashion show was a spectacle of over 20 models, including Nicole Trunfio, Alexandra Agoston and some familiar reality TV faces from shows like Australia’s Next Top Model and The Face, who kicked off the show laying on sun lounges before showcasing the extensive range of 50+ pieces. Sound cool? It was. See for yourself: Watch the Kookai Runway Show
The collection was a mix of playful bright colours and tropical prints contrasted with sophisticated black-and-white and navy must-haves. The hero pieces was the Bahama Print strapless dress, as worn by Laura Dundovic on the red carpet that evening (see gallery below).
