The arrival of a burger joint that’s got lines out the door officially cements Cronulla’s status on the Sydney foodie radar.
Eat Burger Cronulla is the latest café/restaurant to bring this beachside suburb’s foodie fare up a notch and look out, because this bright, light, airy burger joint will be one of Summer’s hotspots.
Just down the road from award winning Queen Margarita Pizza and across the road from South Cronulla beach, Eat Burger Cronulla is the perfect spot for a late lunch. Late because it really will take you a while to get a table – the wait is worth it.
Head chef Paul Camilleri has Banc and Vic’s Meats on his resume and has joined the Sydney burger bandwagon with a killer slow roasted sticky pork belly and peanut slaw version that you’ll see on practically every table. Of course, there’s your classic cheeseburger, the obligatory wagyu burger with streaky maple bacon, pickled onions and truffle aioli, a fried chicken burger and a vegie burger just to name a few. Pair them with hand cut sweet potato fries (because they just seem healthier than regular fries, although they have them too) and wash it all down with a salted caramel thickshake.
Now, there are non-burger items on the menu; hotcakes, eggs, smashed avo for breakfast or tacos, lamb ribs, chicken wings for later in the day, but you won’t be sorry for taking their lead and do like the name says.
