You think you know a city then suddenly you’re taken by surprise and discover, thanks to a small tour, some of the finest hidden bars around the fair city of Sydney.
Local Source Tours are a perfect way to discover secret parts or histories of the city, show your friends and family that you have a finger on the pulse and meet some new friends along the way. The Local Source Tours we experienced was the Drink and Discover tour which provides an experienced tour guide who shares interesting facts about the city and takes you to some amazing bars that you may or may not have known of before. It’s perfect for locals and travelers alike and is just a great way to meet new people from here and abroad.
For a $50pp you will be taken through the streets by an expert host for over four hours taking you to three-four different bars. The first drink is included – and then it’s up to you to choose how you want to enjoy the night.
On our night – we did the Thursday night tour of Circular Quay and The Rocks. We visited a wonderful heritage underground whiskey bar as well as a bar dedicated to using mostly Australian ingredients.
Tuesday nights the team take you on a tour of Sydney’s Bermuda Triangle across York, Clarence and Kent streets (who knew that this is what it is called – but we like it).
There are other tours including tours of Crimes and Cocktails across Surry Hills (sounds excellent) and also tours across China Town with stories and epic food – basically a tour to suit all your curiosities.
