How cool are your kicks? Do they do the world a whole lot of good? Your feet, sure, but what about the world?!
Addidas and Parley have paired up to produce a new range of shoes made from upcylced Parley Ocean Plastic – each pair produced means 11 plastic bottles are kept out of the ocean. And then there’s the fact that these babies are on point – the UltraBOOST Parley and UltraBoost X are sleek and chic, with an Adidas Primeknit upper that feels a little like a nice cosy sock instead of a shoe, plenty of cushioning (they are all called Boost after all) and a moulded heel for a natural fit. Did we mention they look pretty damn good?
But wait, there’s more. Yes we know, look, they’re already overachieving, but until July 8th, Adidas is donating a USD dollar for every 1km tracked on the Runtastic app to raise money for the Parley Ocean School program in the Maldives. They’ve got a million dollar limit so the race is on. That’s right. One million dollars to donate, all you need to do is pop on your kicks and get running! Don’t forget to tag #runforoceans while you’re at it!
