Missed out on the Masterchef audition? Never fear. With The Pantry’s steady stream of Masterclasses, fabulous culinary creations are within your tong-like grasp.
A look back at the list of recent chefs who have shared their skills include George Calombaris, Guy Grossi, Tobie Puttock and Geoff Lindsay.
Coming soon…Giovanni Pilu. For those who treat today’s chefs like yesterday’s rock stars, the name is enough to send a ripple of tantalising excitement across your knowledgeable tastebuds. The rest of us can still appreciate the fact that anyone who is the proprietor of a restaurant as successful and renowned as Sydney’s Pilu at Freshwater and Cavallino Ristorante must know food. After all, those two chef’s hats it has held onto since 2004 aren’t easy to come by.
The Pantry at Brighton – the iconic corner foodie hub at the start of the Bayside suburb’s chi chi shopping strip – is all about sharing foodie love. Drinks at the bar kick off the evening at 6.30pm and what follows is an in-depth cooking class from a true master with dinner served in this intimate, friendly atmosphere, in between the tutelage.
If you like Italian, you’ll love this.
